I bought myself this cute little crock pot several days ago. I've been wanting one for a while now, knowing it is the easiest way to reheat larger quantities of soup or spaghetti sauce without burning it (like happens to me all the time when reheating on the stove, unless I stand there and stir constantly). I also intend to use it to make pulled pork BBQ (using already cooked and shredded pork from Costco and Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce). My large crock pot is too large for just one pound of meat, but this one will be perfect. Guess I'm getting old that I am ridiculously excited about a kitchen appliance.

Mom brought us these great insulated Tervis cups. Care to guess which ones belong to whom?

This was one of my dad's shots from Luke's soccer game today. Where on earth did he get those long legs and *huge* feet from?

Our new kitchen light. *So* much better than the track lighting with 2 of the 4 bulbs burned out. Once a third bulb blew, we simply had to replace it. Apparently third time's the charm for getting the original fixture down from the ceiling.

Not sure what the back paw hanging down was about.

Luke was playing with the inexpensive "light sword" we got for him at Stone Mountain a few years ago. I noticed the cool light patterns the "crystal" on the end made on the wall, so Luke helped me take this photo.

Luke wanted to go outside to run around a bit, so I followed with the camera. Not sure what exactly it is about this picture that I like, but I really do like it.

DH took me to see the 100th Anniversary Titanic exhibit here in Atlanta. the company that now owns RMS Titanic, Inc., the group who has done all of the artifact retrieval from the ocean, is owned by a parent company based in Atlanta, so we get a few more incarnations of the various Titanic exhibits than the average city. Got to see some pieces I haven't seen in years, and quite a few new to me pieces as well.

More soccer. Getting close to the end of the season now. Can't believe he's been playing for six weeks already. Where has the spring gone?!

Finally got around to seeing Titanic at the theater in 3D. I purposely didn't go last week because I knew it would be crazy the week of the 100th anniversary of the sinking. The 3D conversion was surprisingly good.

These are my neighbors' flowers at their mailbox. I think they're lovely interspersed with the long grass.

This piece is titled "The Collapse of Music" by Yama Moonbow. It is on display at The Flying Biscuit on Peachtree Parkway. It appears to be a real, but flattened, saxophone. It was quite an interesting piece! There was a similar one elsewhere in the restaurant done with a trumpet.

I stopped to talk to his friend's mom as we were leaving, and Luke decided to amuse himself while he waited.

This is my pendant made from real 400 year old silver bullion from the Atocha. The silver was recovered from the bottom of the ocean off the coast of Florida by Mel Fisher, beginning the mid-80s. I can't afford a real coin, but this pendant is made from real Atocha silver and stamped with a mold made from a real coin. It represents my love of and fascination with the deep ocean and shipwrecks. I've owned it about 20 years, and I still wear it frequently.

100 years ago today, the RMS Titanic struck and iceberg on her maiden voyage and sank. I've been fascinated by it since I was a child. (See my post about Titanic on my regular blog.) This is my collection of Titanic books. The bottom shelf holds over 30 books and magazines on Titanic specifically, and another six by the man who found her (but on other topics or ships), Dr. Robert Ballard. The top shelf shows my newest acquisitions, two magazines released this year for the anniversary (in front of some non-Titanic books).

Wow, again, I only took pictures of my new recipe for the day! At least this one is worth spotlighting: Balsamic Garlic Crusted Pork Tenderloin by KitchenConfidante.com. It was absolutely fantastic! So flavorful and tender. I can't wait to make it again.

Hmm, only took photos of my new recipe for today. These are Peanut Butter Corn Flake Clusters by JamHands.net. Pretty good, though I think my MIL's peanut butter Rice Krispy balls are better.

Luke was given a lenticular Cars puzzle by my parents, and he decided to put it together today. He was so proud of himself!

Today was Luke's first day riding the bus home from school. Up to now, he has been going to Kindercare on their bus after school, but due to the (lack of) job situation, we can't afford that any more. He absolutely *loves* riding the school bus home!

Cleo was trying desperately to pack herself into the computer bag and accompany us on our trip to North Carolina. Don't think she would have been too happy when she arrived and discovered they have two large dogs!

Sorry for the demon cat, but it's the only picture I took! She really is adorable when she's carrying around mouse, you know, when she doesn't look possessed.

Luke was amusing himself during the first day of spring break by building a "mind control helmet" and testing it out on Star. Strangely, there was no change in her behavior.
