Does this look thin and *crispy* to you? Looks thin and floppy to me.

It has always fascinated me that you can actually see where the rain is coming down and where it isn't. Unfortunately, it "came down" on us virtually the entire way home, but we made it.

I can't tell you how many different bubbles I chases around outside trying to get this shot. By the time I got over to them, got it in focus, and was ready to push the button, the bubble usually popped. Still not the best shot, but it's the best one I took.

The wreath outside of Captain Joe's in Waycross, decorated for Memorial Day. It was really well done, and the wreath is probably 3-4 feet in diameter. We went to visited my grandfather, but all of the group shots were taken by my mom, so this will have to do for a photo from me.

Yeah, this was fun. Luke was not paying attention where he was going and banged into the shopping cart handle hard enough for it to swell up immediately. Caught him right under his eye socket, too. Mom ran over to the inside-the-store Subway and got him some ice, and we ended up buying a cheap washcloth to wrap it in (just $1; totally worth it). So for the first time in his life, Luke got to ride in the cart portion of the buggy, something I usually am very against, but it was easier to do that so he could hold the ice on his face and we could finish shopping. I just knew he was going to have a black eye all weekend, but he did a very good job with the ice, and unlike his momma, he hardly bruised at all.

My grandmother used to make these card balls. She saved all the fronts of her Christmas cards and made beautiful geometric shapes from them. If the backs were gold or silver, she would save those, too. She made one completely from gold backs and had it hanging in her kitchen for as long as I can remember. When I got married, I requested she make one for me, and it now hangs in my kitchen, right above the sink, just the way hers did. Thanks, Granny.
