Okay, power is still out and we've had enough. It's too hot to spend a second night at home, so off to a hotel, which was much harder to find than we anticipated, thanks to Father's Day. Special thanks to my father for helping us find a hotel with a vacancy (since we also didn't have internet access).

It turned out to be more of a movie week here. Today, we took Luke to see Epic at the movie theater. It was okay to the adults, but he really liked it, which is what matters.

This summer, we are attempting to implement Family Movie Night. Tonight is our first try. Luke absolutely loves popcorn, so when I found these popcorn containers in the dollar bin at Target, I had to get them. Roll film!

My husband knows me so well. I had an unexpected day off today. People thought we would be going out to a nice lunch together. Nope! He knew I would rather snarf down McDonalds while sitting in the car if it meant that we could see two movies at the theater today, which is exactly what we did. Ah, true love, doing something crazy because you know it's what your partner wants. :-)
