One of those moments as a parent when it's hard to keep a straight face. Thankfully, there was a door between him and me (bearing this sign), so it was okay for me to go off and laugh and compose myself before addressing the issue. (He was upset that we wouldn't let him do something, so he slammed his door closed (a big no-no in this house), then opened it long enough to post this sign.)

Still on crutches, so I still can't put weight on my ankle. Which means I can't stand in the shower. This is how I've been managing for the past few weeks. This chair is designed to go outside, so it should be fine with getting wet, and we installed a hand-held sprayer shower head. I'm so ready to take a "real" shower again!

I remember when she was barely tall enough to do this. Now that she's a "big girl," she seems to think that I get a glass of water for her most evenings.

You don't find too many bicentennial quarters these days because, you know, they're old. Like me, given that I was born in July 1976. I love that I have a special quarter "just for me." Makes me smile every time I see one.

Words cannot explain how much I love this stainless steel and silicone spoonula. I got it from Sur la Table. It wasn't cheap, but I had a coupon, and it has turned out to be worth every penny, to the point that I'm considering going back and getting a second one and paying full price!

I was trying to get a picture of the red bump under his eye (on your right/his left). It's hard to see in the photo, but it turned out to be a pretty cute one of him, so I kept it.
