Obviously, I missed a day, since this is from Disney much earlier this month. But because of only sharing one picture per day, I didn't get to post any from the Braves spring training game. I still remember Luke's first game here. He was just 5 months old! (And sadly, I don't have any pictures.) Quite a difference 8 years makes.

After they took my right shoe (above) off at the hospital last week, there was no way I could get it back on.  We stuck it in my son's backpack for safe keeping. He discovered it there a couple of days later and tossed it out in the dining room. It has sat here, by this window, unmissed ever since. In fact, I have several lone right shoes laying around the house.Maybe one day soon, their services will be needed again.

My lucky (not so) little lad. I thought I was going to do some fun stuff for St. Patrick's Day, but the ankle thing pretty much killed that. Maybe next year.

The crutches, orthopedic boot, and I survived our first day at work. Barely. I'm going to send my crutches to the Mythbusters to blow up when this is over.

Saw the orthopedist today. Diagnosed with a *severe* high medial ankle sprain. "You sure did a number on it. I don't know how you didn't break it." Yay. I am to be on crutches for the next two weeks and wear my orthopedic boot (not pictured; this is my splint from the ER) at all times. I am not permitted to put any weight at all on my foot. Yeah, this will be fun.

I am home from work today with my ankle. Orthopedist appointment isn't until tomorrow, and I can't do much of anything but lay flat on my back on the sofa with my foot elevated above my heart, so I'm watching movies. Decided to try one I hadn't seen before: La Bamba. Everyone looks like a baby! This is Joe Pantoliano, one of the great character actors, though ironically, he is nearly unrecognizable from part to part. He was in The Goonies, Daredevil, Memento, The Matrix, and The Fugitive, just to name a few off the top of my head. But he was SO young here that, without his voice, I would not have known it was him. Wow!

Had to go to the ER today. I fell down some stairs on the way to my car after work. Nothing broken, just a sprain, but we were there for over 5 hours. No reason not to get homework done, though!

We spent most of the day at Animal Kingdom, but it was also the only day there was an opportunity to swing by Hollywood Studios for a couple of hours and get "the picture". His feet touch the pedals now. Wow.

With the renovation of Big Thunder Mountain complete, the geysers now work again! I don't remember them working any time in at least the last 15 years. So fun to see! Luke thought they were pretty fun, too.

Our first trip to LEGOland Florida. When they say it is intended for 6-12 year olds, they mean it! Many of the rides felt very cramped for adults (even ones much less overweight than I am). It was fun, I'm glad we went, but I don't think we'll be going back any time soon.

We needed to send Luke's PowerPoint presentation to school on a thumb drive. I didn't want to send one of my good (pricey) 16GB or 32GB thumb drives, in case it doesn't come back. We rummaged around in the box in the office and came up with this ancient one. Look carefully; that is 64 Megabytes, not Gigabytes. How old is this thing, anyway?
