My first ever attempt at cooking a steak. The steak turned out okay, but I managed to burn my fingers; all four fingers on my right hand, in fact. Ouch.

We all tried a new to us restaurant today: Guthrie's Chicken Fingers. We've passed it for several years now on our way to get Luke's hair cut at the Forum Shops, so we finally decided to try it. I meant to take a picture of our food, but we were so hungry, we ate it all before I remembered! Still, can't have been too bad if we ate every single one, right? Reminds me a bit of Zaxby's. Quite good!

Today was Luke's first day riding the bus home from school. Up to now, he has been going to Kindercare on their bus after school, but due to the (lack of) job situation, we can't afford that any more. He absolutely *loves* riding the school bus home!

Luke's first milkshake! White, of course (he only likes "white" ice cream), from Steak 'n Shake. It's the first time I've been able to get him to try one. He didn't seem impressed.

These are my new shoes, compliments of my mom (thanks, Mom!). I had found these online, but they were sold out of my size and width, but the local shoe store that carries lots of widths actually had the size and width combo I needed. I couldn't believe it. Go me!
