DH and Luke put together our new basketball goal today. This was Luke's idea of "helping."

We bought a bag of new cat toys a couple of days ago. There were three small mice, like this one, two large plush mice, two plush balls, two plastic balls with bells inside, and two raffia balls. That's 11 new cat toys, including a total of 5 mice. So is everyone happy? No, they fight over this *one* blue mouse!! It is the craziest thing. I'm not sure how Cleo ended up with it (she's not really a fighter), but she is doing her traditional new toy mind meld with it.

Luke was amusing himself during the first day of spring break by building a "mind control helmet" and testing it out on Star. Strangely, there was no change in her behavior.

I love seeing the world from Luke's perspective. "Look, Mommy, this is no one."

His "thumb knight," which was completely his idea. And all I could think when I saw it was "one, two, three, four; I declare thumb war!" LOL

Kitty is ready to jam. DH did this to amuse Luke when we picked him up from school today. It worked!

His new favorite toy. Luke got two small die cast planes while we were at the museum. I think he was inspired by the shiny silver B-17 they were restoring.

I took a few pictures of Luke playing with his MegaBloks pirate ship that I thought would be today's POD, but when he gave me the mermaid and said, "here Mommy, this is you," I had to laugh. Is that because she is a girl? (Hey, MegaBloks, we need some girl pirates!) "No, she's you!" I guess with the reddish curly hair, she does look a little like me. What do you think?

Today's field trip at school was to Build-A-Bear. This is what Luke came home with. You can read the rest of the story here.

Luke, showing of Lego creation #2. I never did get a shot of his first solo Lego creation, and it has since gone on to life as a bat robot spaceship instead of its intended form. This one, however, is a robot speeder. What could be cooler than that?!

I think this might well be what the inside of Luke's brain looks like right now. It may look like just a bucket of "Twinkletoys," but each is a sparkling piece of imagination.

Ah, the two best pals. He doesn't like Lightning McQueen sleeping in his room, though, for some reason. He has to stay downstairs. Kitty, on the other hand, goes most everywhere (as you may have noticed).
