Sorry, another crummy phone picture. This is one of two cats who have apparently adopted our yard/porch/deck as their own. Not sure if they belong to anyone, and we don't feed them, but they sure like to hang out at our place when we're not home.

I love the variety of colors and textures of these plants outside the Bank of America building in downtown Atlanta. (Wish I'd had my real camera with me instead of just my phone.)

Whatever this long grassy plant is in our front yard, it always blooms into these pretty blue/purple stalk-ish flowers in the fall. Very pretty!

I love the texture of this grass between the sidewalk and a very industrial building in downtown Atlanta.

It's a beautiful day at work today. Sunshine, blue sky, a few clouds, and the lovely Fox Theatre just up the block.

I walked two blocks to lunch today, along this slightly downward sloping street. Doesn't sound like much, but considering how thoroughly I destroyed my ankle about 2 months ago, I consider it rather a miracle!

The Atlanta phoenix on one of the lamp posts near my office. I wonder how many people walk past these every day without noticing this pretty detail?

I'm always amazed when I see these trees cut back so far. They look like dead sticks, but I know spring is coming. Hopefully, I can take a picture later when they start leafing out.

This picture didn't really turn out like I hoped. It seemed very dark under the carport, but the mirror was showing the light behind us as the sun rose. So the mirror was very bright compared to the dark in front of me. Not really sure the camera could "see" that, tough.

Finally got the camera (my cell phone, even) to "see what I see". These flaming red leaves just shimmer in the fall sunlight. Absolutely gorgeous!

More pretty leaves. Did a better job capturing the light and shadow here. If I'd had my "real" camera instead of my phone, I bet it would have been dynamite!

I was trying to capture the beautiful texture of these evergreens (through an about-to-be-moving car window with my cell phone).

An attempt at an artistic shot of the piles of leaves near our house (yard guy comes tomorrow). I tweaked the contrast some to darken up the shadows (since the photograph made them look "flatter" than they do in real life), but this really is more or less what they looked like. Not bad.
