This makes me smile (whether it has a smile printed on the box or not). Reminds me of Happy Meals when I was a kid. I personally love he box over the boring sacks!

This is why Red Lobster makes me crazy. They have at least four (small) groups of people waiting out front, mostly parties of 3-6 people, yet the section we are sitting in has at least four empty tables that I can see from where I am sitting. WHY are there people waiting with this many empty tables inside?!

More restaurant art, but I do genuinely like this painting, both on its own merits, and for the color and flow. I could see this making a great abstract watercolor-type quilt.

This is a painting that hangs at a restaurant we frequent. I don't really love the painting (though I don't mind it), but what I do love is the flow of the colors across the canvas. If I ever get really into this quilting thing, I might use this for palette inspiration.

I love that our Panera serves both Pepsi and Coke products! Makes this Coke girl very happy (not that I drink it much anymore).

Happy birthday to me! A meal at one of my favorite restaurants (Golden Corral), and I even got a piece of cake for dessert, which I don't normally do.

A nice reminder from our last meal in Jacksonville in celebration of our 15th wedding anniversary.

The $10 Taco from TacoLu in Jacksonfille, FL, made with filet mignon. They very kindly only charge $5 for it. It was quite tasty.

Cheesecake Factory! My parents really like to eat here, and we certainly don't mind tagging along. Dulce de Leche cheesecake (missing it's point! LOL) in the back, and Godiva Cheesecake (which I had not tried before) in front. YUM!!

Decided to try something new at Panera today. This is one of their new pasta dishes. A little under-salted on the pasta, in my opinion, but overall, not too bad.

Something about this basket of crayons at Red Lobster tonight just struck me. I like the colors and the texture created by the tips of the crayons.

I almost never get dessert, but after getting stranded last weekend at Longhorn on Mother's Day while DH and Luke went home to get DH's wallet (I didn't have mine), friends said I should have enjoyed dessert while I waited for them to return. The idea stuck with me, so when we went back this weekend, I did get dessert. Three of them, in fact. No, I didn't eat all three! This is their dessert sampler. I ate the apple cobbler while we were there (it was warm), and took the cheesecake and Chocolate Stampede (one of my favorite chocolate desserts) home to enjoy later.

Arancini at Olive Garden! We had never heard of arancini until we went to Boston in 2011. We asked the local firemen for a lunch recommendation, and they pointed us to this little hole in the wall place and said we had to try the arancini. It was very different and unique, unlike anything I had ever tasted before. The one we had there was bigger than a baseball and had a meat filling. When these popped up on the specials menu at Olive Garden today, we absolutely had to try them. I think these from Olive Garden (they just called them "Parmesan Rice Balls", I think) are more what the dish started out as: a way to use leftover risotto and turn it into something else. These were tasty, but they can't hold a candle to the arancini we had in Boston.

Met some friends for lunch at THE best Mexican restaurant in Atlanta. It's not close by, and if you don't get there when they open, you will literally wait for hours. But so yummy!

We tried a new Mexican restaurant today. This is the inlay art that was in the vestibule. It's about 18 inches (46 cm) in diameter. Definitely interesting!

Oops, forgot to take a picture until I'd already eaten half. This is one of the chocolate mousse muffins at Mimi's. It was good, but not fantastic. I actually prefer their Buttermilk Spice muffin!

What kid can resist making the wind chimes ring (especially when they are hung at a reachable height)?
