Tonight, the Battle of Cheeseburger Pie took place on this very spot. It was a miserable night, ending in Luke quite literally going to bed without supper. I think the "without supper" part was fine with him, but the going to bed part was not. The new rule of dinner at home is "you have to take a bite of each thing that is served before Mommy and Daddy finish eating, or you go to bed." It's been this way for 2 weeks now. Up until tonight, he would squeak it in as we were taking the last bite. Today, he decided to see if we really meant it. We did. Being a parent sucks sometimes.
